The Columbia Heights Green is an urban farm in northwest Washington, DC. It is a permanent urban farm owned by Washington Parks and People. Kate was the Farm Manager and Community Coordinator from 2015-2021.

Temperance Alley is the latest venture for Farm the District. The Alley is located behind the U st metro station and is slated for development in a few years. Although a temporary space, it is our goal to show how much food can be grown in a season even if you don’t have permanent tenure of your land.
